Finding your best fit should feel simple.

At Friday Flamingo, we do sizing a little differently. Rather than relying on one universal size chart across every style, we provide individual garment measurements for each piece to help you shop with more confidence.

Because every style, fabric, and fit can vary, the best way to choose your size is to compare your own measurements with the garment measurements shown on each product page.

How Friday Flamingo sizing works

Our sizing is designed with curves in mind and made to feel comfortable and easy to wear.

Most styles are available from Size 0 (NZ/AU 12) through to Size 9 (NZ/AU 30+), although this can vary depending on the style, fabric, and design.

Because each garment fits differently, we always recommend checking the individual garment measurements on the product page rather than choosing based on the size number alone.

Why we do not use one universal size chart

One standard size chart does not work perfectly across every style.

That’s because:

  • fabrics can stretch differently
  • some styles are more relaxed, while others are more structured
  • sleeve shapes, necklines, and waistlines can all affect fit
  • lengths can sit differently depending on the style and the wearer

Instead, we measure each garment individually so you have the most useful sizing information for that specific piece.

Where to find size information

You will usually find the size details:

  • in the product images, often around the third or fourth photo
  • in the product description
  • in the model and fit notes, including the size worn

If you are unsure, the garment measurements on the product page are the best place to start.

How to measure yourself

Using a soft tape measure, take the following measurements:

Bust
Measure around the fullest part of your bust.

Waist
Measure around your natural waist.

Hips
Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom.

Then compare your measurements with the garment measurements shown on the product page.

Our size range

Friday Flamingo uses its own numbered size system:

  • Size 0 = NZ/AU 12
  • Size 1 = NZ/AU 14
  • Size 2 = NZ/AU 16
  • Size 3 = NZ/AU 18
  • Size 4 = NZ/AU 20
  • Size 5 = NZ/AU 22
  • Size 6 = NZ/AU 24
  • Size 7 = NZ/AU 26
  • Size 8 = NZ/AU 28
  • Size 9 = NZ/AU 30+

Please use this as a guide only, and always refer to the garment measurements on each product for the most accurate fit.

A note on our sizing

Because Friday Flamingo is designed as a curve brand, our fit can be more generous than many other brands.

For example, Sera wears our Size 2, which is our NZ/AU 16, but in other brands she can wear anywhere from an 18 to a 22, depending on the fit and style.

So please don’t be alarmed if your Friday Flamingo size is lower than what you usually buy elsewhere. This does not mean the garment runs wrong — it simply reflects the way our sizing has been developed for our brand.
